Bio
Mixing Rock & Roll, Rythm & Blues and Pop, with an element somewhere between New Wave and Punk, produces a recipe that was used in the birth of TempesT, a band that crossed early Metallica/Ramones with a suble layer of pop country. Unaware of the potential they possessed together, each member decided to pursue different avenues and projects.
With TempesT lieing in the anals of history, Lohner switched to guitar and fronted the band The Boyz of Noize , a group that took the recipe more towards Power/Pop Punk. Though very raw and at times unfocused, this project became the blueprints for the Lohner Bubblegum Metal sound and found Lohner venturing into new areas. Personnel changes, disagreements in direction & lack of focus doomed the group.
After the breakup of the boyz Lohner moved to Detroit Lakes, Mn. and spent a few years concentrating on writing & recording. This period was also a time to co-write and produce other artists as well as occasionally sitting in with a local bar band and having the freedom to explore many different styles. After 5 years, Randy moved to Fergus Falls, Mn. and soon became involved in the local scene which was vastly alternative..., and unknown.
Shortly after, Randy became involved with a group called the HeartRockers which added Blues to the recipe. Although the project fizzled, it set the stage for what has become Randy Lohner.
