Artist Statement
Puente del Diablo was conceived in Spain, around the place where the actual Devil's Bridge (hence the name Puente del Diablo) can be seen today. Having travelled there for an extended visit, Gustavo Scolieri (Band leader) rediscovered the wealth of guitar driven Latin music that had coloured his youth in Canada, even while he was developing a love for home-grown hard rock along the lines of Rush. Returing to Toronto, he decided to make a dramatic adjustment in the music he was playing and listening to, and thereafter drew a lot of momentum from the classic Spanish guitarists and performers, notably Paco de Lucia and the Gipsy Kings.

Bio
Touring the eastern continent of Asia to the southern U.S. Puente del Diablo have emerged as world class performers, leaving all those who have encountered their performances captivated and inspired. Conceived in Spain and eventually formed in Canada, founding member, leadguitarist/songwriter Gustavo Scolieri, together with bassist/keyboardist Paul Cafareli,drummer/percussionist Massimo Campoli, vocalist/rhythm guitarist Joe Campoli and rhythm guitarist Benjamin Barrile are the musicians that make up the band. Combining the poetic fires of rumba flamenco passion, energizing dance beats and the soothing sounds of reggae, their highly anticipated debut full length recording "415", has already proven itself to be in high demand. Aside from their numerous television performances both local and national, the band has received much radio airplay across Canada and abroad. A festival favorite, Puente del Diablo have received numerous awards in recognition of outstanding performances and achievements. They have also shared the stage with artist such as Latin recording artist Marc Anthony in which they received a favorable review. Totally unique and unlike anything to emerge from Canada's Latin music scene, PDD continue to entertain and captivate their audiences.
